his year, the nation marked the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, remembering 
those who lost their lives that day, those who rushed toward disaster to offer aid, and 
those who stood up in the days following to help a city and the nation heal. 
On Sept. 11, 2026, the team at Fire Island Ferries was recognized for their efforts helping New York City recover after 9/11.
