The contract is for the design of a 220’, shallow-draft, 50-car ferry built to U.S. Coast Guard Subchapter H re- quirements for service between Swan Quarter, Ocracoke, and Cedar Island. The new vessel will strengthen their fleet and enhance reliable transpor- tation across coastal communities. More details will be shared as the proj- ect advances.
