Navigating your Aon Risk Solutions Marine The newest cruise ship ofAmerican Cruise Lines, Guilford, CT, American Constitution, completed its successful inaugural sailing on the Chesapeake Bay. Departing from Baltimore on April 18, the 175-passenger ship launched a new 11-day, 10-night American Revolution-themed itinerary. “American Constitution has been exceptionally well received and all the spring 2018 American Revolution cruises are already sold out,” a company official said. During its inaugural sailing, American Constitution made news as it docked inside the District of Columbia at The Wharf. This was the first time a cruise ship has called on D.C.’s Southwest waterfront in over 60 years. With the cherry blossoms in full bloom, guests aboard enjoyed scenic views, guided shore tours, and onboard entertainment. Itinerary high- lights included visits to the cities of the “Historic Triangle,” Williamsburg, Yorktown and Jamestown, VA; and tours of Washington, DC. The inaugural cruise featured an onboard biology expert who gave talks about the less commonly known aspects of American history and the historical sites throughout the storied region. When the spring American Revolution itineraries conclude in late May, the new ship will head north to do the operation’s popular cruises in New England and the Hudson River, and will return in the fall for a few more American Revolution cruises, including one very special Colonial Holiday cruise departing December 23, 2018.
