Note – the CSO does not need any Coast Guard approved training. The requirements for CSO are contained in the PV A ASP. Elsewhere in this month’s FOGHORN, Ms. Betty McMenemy, with the Coast Guard’s Office of Port and Facility Compliance, provides insight as to the most common deficiencies found during ASP inspections. I recommend you look at that and make sure those areas are addressed in your company. Note – The Coast Guard can issue deficiencies for not following your ASP, but they cannot issue require- ments because the PV A ASP deviates from the specific requirements contained in 33 CFR Parts 104 and 105. As always PVA staff is available to assist you with any and all of you security questions. n SAFETY, CONTINUED FROM PAGE 29 ABS Americas ...............................................8 All American Marine......................................6 Aon Risk Management .................................21 Blount Boats, Inc, .........................................16 Burger Boat Company..................................27 Carus Ferry Ab Ltd.......................................29 Centa Corporation.......................................24 DBC Marine - Survitec..................................30 Dejong and Lebet ........................................26 Driveline Service of Portland, Inc ...................30 Freedman Seating Company.........................25 Furuno USA, Inc. .........................................28 Gladding-Hearn Shipbuilding........................10 GPLINK LLC.................................................22 Gulfstream Shipbuilding .................................9 Hamilton Jet ................................................22 Horizon Shipbuilding ...................................15 HUMPHREE® USA LLC.................................26 International Workboat Show........................20 Jensen Maritime Consultants .........................24 John Deere Power Systems............................23 Kobelt.........................................................28 MCM .........................................................19 Metal Shark Aluminum Boats.........................11 Motor Services Hugo Stamp..........................32 MTU...........................................................31 Port Supply/West Marine .............................16 Scania USA ..................................................7 Springfield Group........................................23 Starboard Suite ...........................................17 Trans4media .................................................8 Twin Disc, Inc................................................2 UES Seating................................................12 Vigor Industrial ............................................14 Virtual Ticketing Solutions .............................13 VT Halter Marine .........................................19 WheelHouse Technologies, Inc......................25
