Access Control and ID Checks Failure to secure access points: Gangplank deployed and unattended Vessel did not provide an escort for individual without a TWIC Screening not done in accordance with approved ASP (MARSEC Directive) Failure to check identification: Vessel failed to request TWIC and individual gained access to the vessel Missing signage identifying access control measures: Proper signage not posted regarding ID and screening re- quirements Restricted Areas Missing or improper marking of restricted areas: No restricted area signage posted as required by ASP Restricted area signage damaged and illegible Employee access areas not designated with proper signage as required by ASP Security Drills and Exercises Not able to meet drill and exercise schedule: Security drills not conducted within time frame specified in ASP Recordkeeping and Documentation Missing records: Vessel did not have record of annual audit Vessel had no records of security drills Vessel did not maintain records of personnel training Missing documentation: Vessel did not have copy of latest approved ASP Vessel did not have copy of vessel-specific security assess- ment report Improper documentation: Vessel added sections to ASP that were conflicting with in-
