PVA’s committees not only work to provide regulatory guidance, safety tools, and legislative advocacy but also focus on growing the organization itself and serving the needs of all types of PVA member companies. A t t h e re c e n t P VA A n n u a l Convention at MariTrends 2018 in Savannah, GA, these committees met and discussed initiatives that continu- ously improve PVA’s benefits to you. Membership Committee Chaired by Suzanne Krug and Hannah Roth, both of the Gateway Clipper Fleet, Pittsburgh, PA, the PVA Membership Committee works to ensure that PVA continues to grow by consistently bringing in new member companies. This past year, PVA suc- cessfully brought in 66 new member companies from all over the country. This exceeded the Committee’s goal of 65 new companies to add to the 2017 roster. The PVA Membership Committee also has plans to continue to grow PVA. At the meeting, the Committee developed outreach and marketing activities for 2018. New marketing efforts will include info-graphics high- lighting PVA member benefits “by the numbers.” They also talked about the PVA Committees Are Working on Your Behalf
