Online Training Content We are just over a year into the online Learning Management System for PVA members. Hosted by PVA Associate member Marine Learning Systems, there are currently 17 courses available to PVAmembers and their employees free of charge. These courses range from original PVAsafety videos and manuals to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) courses. All of the PVA courses and some of the other content include test questions to verify a student’s understanding of the material. As we gathered data on member use and performance, the Committee determined that a review of test questions was warranted. Another working group was formed to look at questions and recommend revisions as needed. Additional questions will be developed by the Committee to keep the online content relevant. To date, just under 30 percent of PVA Vessel members have taken advantage of the online training. The online portal can be reached through the Member Resources tab on the PVA website under Safety and Security Tools or at pva.marinels.com. Security Pocket Guide Several years ago, the National Transit Institute developed a pocket guide containing recommended security best practices and reminders specific to the domestic passenger vessel industry. That document is no longer in print, so the Committee
