b'COAST GUARD REPORTIllegal Lake Tahoe Charter Shuttered by Coast GuardOver the Labor Day weekend, an illegal charter was shut down on the California side of Lake Tahoe. On September 6, the U.S. Coast Guard identified an illegally operated boat with 19 passengers aboard near the lakes popular Emerald Island. The 48-foot boat, Cirque, was found to be in violation of a number of regulations required of a char-ter-for-hire operator. Specifically, the vessel does not have a valid Certificate of Inspection or a stability letter.
