This team of passenger vessel industry leaders volunteer their time and expertise to advance our Association and our industry, and to ultimately benefit your business. Membership The PVA Membership Committee, under the leadership of Chair Suzanne Krug, Gateway Clipper Fleet, continued the ongoing work to ensure that PVA remains a healthy and growing organization. The Committee worked to bring in 56 new member companies over the past year. This is the largest number of new member to join PVA in a number of years. The Committee discussed new marketing and outreach ini- tiatives to continue to grow the association. Legislative Committee PVA’s Legislative Committee, headed by Charles Moser, EUP Transportation Authority developed the Association’s top legislative priorities. The group discussed these advocacy goals within the context of the current political climate, the new Administration and new Congress. Looking forward, PVA plans to advocate in support of the Commercial Vessel Discharges Act (CVIDA ) which would reform of the Vessel General Permit and continue the small vessel exemption (which is set to run out December of this year). Additionally, PVA will propose that any new infrastructure funding should include a portion dedicated to the construction of WORK BOATS. THAT WORK.
