Visier Insights collected data from 31 Blue Chip companies representing 165,000 U.S.-based employees across a range of industries to compile a report, Gender Equity, that does indicate that that gender gap pay continues to be an area of widespread concern and offered guidance for correction. “In 2017, the gender pay gap for workers under age 40 increased by 17% over the year before,” Visier’s report found. “Women under age 40 earned an average of $0.79 for each dollar earned by men in 2017, down from $0.82 in 2016.” Experts at the Society of Human Resource Management and Visier suggests solutions that companies should do: • Conduct an Audit Use data analytics of your organization’s employ- ment information to conduct an audit to identify gender/wage disparities.
