were honored with awards as
leaders in the industry.
Sarah Pennington, managing director
of Classic Harbor Line in New York
City and member of the PVA Board
of Directors, was one of 19 New York
tourism professionals recognized on
May 12, at the 2026 Women In Tour-
ism Awards produced by City Guide.
Celebrating individuals who are creat-
ing exceptional visitor experiences and
who encourage collaboration within
the tourism industry, the awards also
serve to promote women at the highest
levels in tourism organizations.
Established in 1984, the Outstanding
Women of Northern Kentucky awards
were developed to celebrate women
who live, work, or volunteer in North-
ern Kentucky, are making meaningful
impacts across their industries, and
are role models for the young women
following in their footsteps. This year,
Terri Bernstein, CEO of BB River-
boats, former PVA president, and
active member of the association, was
honored as one of the Outstanding
Women of Northern Kentucky.
Their leadership, dedication, and con-
tinued service to both the passenger
vessel industry and PVA make these
awards well deserved for Pennington
and Bernstein. Congratulations to
both women and to all the honorees
recognized with these awards.
