To the National State Boating Law Administrators, PVA urged all stakeholders in the boating safety community to work towards improvement. PVA offered itself as taking a leadership role in facilitating this conversation to bringing everyone together to develop a successful model or framework that can be implemented on the local level nationwide. To the National Boating Safety Advisory Council, PVA submitted several specific requested actions that the Council should recommend that the Coast Guard take. These actions would promote safe interaction between recreational and commercial vessels through enhancing grant programs, training and education standards, and the Coast Guard’s strategic plan. PVA reiterated that its operators are committed to safety, and the organization stands ready to work with all stakeholders towards a safe boating environment for all.
