Several PVA Associate members were involved in this ferry project: it was designed by BMT Designers & Planners, built in Armstrong Marine’s Swansboro, NC shipyard, and powered by two Volv D13-400 Tier 3-compliant engines that turn 36-inch propellers via Twin Disc reduction gears. The 149-passenger vessel is fuel-efficient and features electronic controls and navigation along with a two-ramp configuration that allows passengers to enter and exit the ferry more effectively. The new ferry has been designed with accessibility in mind with flat deck and doorsill ramps to significantly improve access for disabled passengers. Another vessel is expected to be delivered later this season. n We are proud to present our newest Passenger Ferry EXPEDITIONS Six, with MAN Engines, ZF Gears and Mavrik Marine’s superb build. 1-800-695-2624 • go-lanai.com
