PROJECT SERVICES MEMBERNEWS New Armstrong Marine Catamaran Arrives in Juneau, Alaska Three days after departing Port Angeles, WA, where PVA Associate member Armstrong Marine USA’s shipyard is located, a 49-passenger vessel arrived in Juneau, AK in time to begin summer service. The new whale watching vessel is a 46’ x 17.5’ high tunnel, U.S. Coast Guard Subchapter T catamaran that operates out of Alaska’s state capital. Multiple viewing decks and mitered windows make the new catamaran well suited for wildlife watching. Stainless steel cable railings ensure clear views. For a comfortable passenger experi- ence, the main cabin features PVA Associate member Freedman Seating Company’s stylish and durable Glitz seating, as well as two heaters and carpeted flooring, suitable for chilly Alaskan cruising. The vessel also features a wireless PA system with speakers throughout for effective com- munication. The vessel was designed by Armstrong Marine USA with twin 300-gallon fuel tanks to ensure suf- ficient range for every excursion, which generally run for two hours per cruise. n Twin Disc Announces Expansion in Wisconsin PVA Associate member Twin Disc, Inc. has completed an expansion project in Wisconsin.
