The project stems from a government initiative for major vessels operating on the mainland-Lofoten Islands crossing to become emission-free. The383ferrieswilleachhaveaca-pacity of up to 120 cars and 599 pas-sengers, and will be the worlds largest hydrogen fueled ferries. Operating just below the Arctic Circle, the vessels will serve one of the longest and most chal-lenging routes in the country.
